Skills:-
(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Institute or board with Knowledge of English.
(b) Should have completed Apprenticeship Training in the relevant trade and holding National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by National Council of Vocational training.
(c) Other qualifications being equal, preference will
be given to ex-apprentices of Dockyard Apprentice Schools of the Indian Navy...

(PB-1)
Between 18 and 25 Years, applicable to both direct recruits and
ex-Naval apprentices with relaxation as under:-
(a) Relaxable for Govt Servants upto 35 years in accordance with instructions
or orders issued by Central Government from time to time in this regard and
further relaxable for five years, as in the case of Scheduled Castes and
Scheduled Tribes those who have rendered at least three years continuous
service (and not on ad-hoc basis).
(b) Relaxable to apprentices to the extent of the period for which the
apprentice had undergone training (not applicable for Tradesman Mate post).
(c) For SC/ST Candidates: Relaxable upto 05(five) years as per Govt.
orders on the subject for the posts reserved under this category.
(d) For OBC Candidates: Relaxable upto 03(three) years as per Govt.
orders on the subject for the posts reserved under this category:
(e) For Physically disabled Candidates (Unreserved Category): Relaxable
upto 1O(ten) years as per Govt. orders on the subject.
(f) For Physically disabled Candidates (SC/ST Category): Relaxable upto
15(Fifteen) years as per Govt. orders on the subject.
(g) For Physically disabled Candidates(OBC Category): Relaxable uptd
13(Thirteen) years as per Govt. orders on the subject.
(h) For Ex-Servicemen : Length of Military service increased by 03 years
subject to Gol orders amended from time to time. In addition, a maximum of 10
years in case of PWD category candidates as per existing Govt. Orders.
Age relaxation admissible to widows and women separated from their
husbands but not remarried as per the details given below:-
