What he really meant when he said Educate Unite Agitate

A community that was deprived of basic rights and equality struggled to survive until the efforts of some strong people to get free from the caste system, but one man Dr.B R Ambedkar took the challenge onto himself and changed the lifes of many people around india.

Babasaheb as we call him out of respect said to his people Educate Unite Agitate to make sure that people keep striving for a better life. Nowadays a lot of people from his community use this casually without understanding what their idol their leader really meant.

Educate - when he said Educate did he meant get degrees ? And stock them up ? Any one who has read about life of Babasaheb would know his love for knowledge not "Degrees". Babasaheb is known around the world for his in-depth knowledge of Economics, Law, Politics and much more, and then for his degrees. People from backward community have taken his message wrongly, they have developed a endless hunger for degrees but not for knowledge. Without knowledge these degrees are just a paper and nothing more.

Unite - When he said this people where still struggling to fight against oppression so he wanted his people to stay together and fight together. Today people often gather in groups in their own community making them weak all together, they talk about the same things same old stories no one talks about what next whats new.

Agitate - He wanted his people to keep agitating towards making the community strong and economically strong. Sadly today we agitate amongst ourselves to prove whos better than who.

So what did he really meant when he said Educate Unite Agitate, according to me he wanted to say no matter what Education you take focus on gaining knowledge increasing your reasoning skills have the confidence to debate based on your knowledge. Unite together for sharing knowledge experiences and ideas, he wanted us to develop ourselves as a community that is made up of intellectuals and our gatherings to be a platform for sharing knowledge. He wanted us to agitate together to be better people a better community altogether who s strength is knowledge and are best at what they do.

Sadly, getting pointless education and degrees aren t taking us anywhere nor are we developing as a community, uniting for discussing old stories again and again and keeping people and other religions names isn t helping us either its just making us easy targets for social conflicts. Agitating to become better than others in our own community is only making the community weak.

At the end will only say Educate Unite Agitate but the right way.
